Craftsmanship and expertise
Cory Yachts have been building boats since 1966; from racing dinghies to cruising motorboats, every boat is built with craftsmanship and passion.
Brian Cory built himself an Enterprise in 1957, this was the beginning of his passion for boat building. He turned his passion into a business in 1966. Brian's career has included fitting out fishing boats which he has watched launch off the shingle shores of Deal for decades, and more recently he has overseen the launching of a bespoke Kent 35. At 80 Brian is prompt to put the kettle on every morning to begin his days work where he has seen Cory Yachts deliver boats across the UK and Europe. Brian has passed on his knowledge to son Simon who is now at the helm of the business. Brian is an avid sailor, he has been instrumental in the success of Downs Sailing Club acting as commodore and now sits as a Trustee of the club. Simon Cory joined Brian in the business in 1985 and also has has a glowing list of achievements in yacht and dinghy racing. This includes winning four national championships and a Eurocup. He has sailed his own racing yacht ‘Cool Blue’ at 12 Cowes Week's, being 2nd & 3rd in class regularly. He has also cruised 'Cool Blue' extensively across Europe. Whilst on the water he has covered an estimated ten thousand sea miles and this detailed knowledge feeds into his every thought as he develops the new ranges of Cory Yachts. Building boats since 1985 Simon is a highly experienced designer and boatbuilder. Cory Yachts also has the valuable input from a small team of committed and skilled craftsmen and women. We have a wide network of contacts in the marine trade who we work closely with to ensure the best quality parts and equipment are supplied to us. Cory Yachts pride themselves in offering a friendly and approachable relationship. We value the time with the customer planning intricate changes to ensure that they produce your dream boat. Understanding that every boat is a personal experience we want you to enjoy the process as much as we do. To ensure this is successful we sell directly to our clients, and when you call Cory Yachts you will talk directly to Simon who will be building, refitting or repairing your boat. |
